Farms’ Partially-Sifted or
Unbleached Wheat Flour is our
multi-purpose, everyday-use flour.
As
with all our wheat flour
products, Partially-Sifted is made with
ground whole grains of hard wheat. “Partially
Sifted” means we’ve sifted out most of the bran, so
you enjoy a smooth consistency when you use it. You may be
surprised when you first open a bag; because we use no chemical
bleaching agents, our flour retains its natural creamy colour.
You’ll
notice a difference in
consistency between our flour
and commercially-
produced flours. Part of this is due to our heritage process
and part is
because we use locally-grown hard wheat
instead of soft wheat. This means more protein and more
gluten; bread bakers love our flour!
